Inhibition index
A quantitative measure of PCR inhibitor burden in a DNA extract, derived from the Ct shift of an internal positive control (IPC) in a human-specific qPCR assay. A depressed IPC Ct indicates inhibitor presence requiring dilution or re-extraction.
