Refund Policy

ForensicSpot is a digital service. The moment a paid plan is activated on your account, we treat the purchase as fulfilled. By placing an order you acknowledge that you waive your right to a refund once the credits or features in question are made available to you. This is consistent with the standard practice for digital goods and services and aligns with the rules under Indian consumer protection law for goods that are personalised, dispatched, or downloaded immediately.

We are committed to building and improving the service. The fairest way for us to do that is to keep prices low and our policies simple — and that means we don't routinely process refunds.

So you can decide with confidence:

• Try a free mock from the public catalogue first — they're the same shape as the paid ones.
• Start with the smallest pack (Lead, ₹99 for 15 credits) and run a premium mock or two before buying a bigger pack.
• Read the description on the pricing page in full — it spells out what you get, the validity window, and what one credit unlocks.
• Email us if you have any question about a pack at all: hello@forensicspot.com. We respond fast.

In some narrow cases we will consider a refund at our discretion. These exceptions exist for situations where the fault is genuinely on our side, not for a change of mind. Examples:

• You were charged more than once for the same order. We refund the duplicate charge in full.
• The credits you paid for could not be activated on your account due to a technical fault on our side — and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time. Our first response is always to fix the issue and grant the credits owed; a refund is the last resort.
• The service was unusable for an extended period in a way that prevented you from using credits within their validity window, and we did not provide an equivalent grace period.

Any refund decision is at our discretion and is made case-by-case. Approval of a refund in one situation does not create a right to one in another.

The following are explicitly out of scope for refunds:

• Change of mind, change of exam plans, or change of subject focus.
• Credits you have already started using.
• Credits that expired during their validity window because you did not use them in time.
• Difference between a launch / promotional price and a higher price you paid earlier or later.
• Purchases made by accounts later suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms of Use.

If your situation falls within the exceptional circumstances above, email hello@forensicspot.com with:

• The receipt number from your invoice email
• A clear description of the issue
• The Razorpay payment ID, if you have it

We respond within 2 business days. If we approve a refund, Razorpay returns the money to your original payment method within their normal timeline (typically 5–7 business days).

Free and bonus credits cost ₹0, so there is nothing to refund. The one-time free pack was retired in June 2026; if something goes wrong with credits previously granted free, email us — we usually resolve those by granting replacement credits.

Per our Terms of Use, if ForensicSpot ever shuts down we will give at least 60 days' notice and refund any unused paid credits.

If you disagree with our refund decision, please reply to the same email thread — most disputes resolve at this step. You retain whatever rights are available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and (for card payments) under your card-issuer's chargeback rules.

We treat chargebacks filed without first emailing us as adversarial. Please email us first.
