SWGDRUG Category C

The lowest tier in the Scientific Working Group for the Analysis of Seized Drugs classification. Category C methods (including colour tests, microcrystal tests, and fluorescence microscopy) have the lowest analytical discriminating power and cannot be used alone for drug identification. At least one Category A method is required for a confirmatory identification.
