Tungsten Trioxide (WO3)
Definition
Pale yellow oxide of tungsten formed rapidly at temperatures above approximately 800 K when tungsten is exposed to atmospheric oxygen; its presence on a fractured filament is the primary physical indicator of hot-filament failure.
