SEM-EDX (Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray analysis)

A technique combining high-resolution surface imaging with elemental composition analysis; used to compare metallic-flake elemental ratios in OVI ink and to measure surface topography of intaglio ink ridges.
