Definition
The fibrocartilaginous joint at the midline anterior pelvis connecting the two pubic bones; its articular face undergoes progressive morphological changes used for age estimation from approximately 15 to over 60 years.

Why is the pubic symphysis usually paired with the auricular surface for ageing?+
