Dermestidae

The skin beetles. Oval, hairy or scaly-bodied beetles whose larvae feed on dry keratin-rich material: skin, hair, feathers, and dried muscle. They are late-stage decomposition specialists and important in estimating PMI for dry or skeletal remains.
