UGC NET June 2026 Forensic Science Cutoff Released: Check Subject Code 82 Marks
The UGC NET June 2026 cutoff marks for Forensic Science (Subject Code 082) have been released. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the category-wise cutoff for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD Only.

UGC NET Forensic Science Cutoff 2026
For Unreserved (UR) candidates, the cutoff is 206 marks for JRF, 182 marks for Assistant Professor, and 164 marks for PhD Only.
For candidates belonging to the OBC (NCL) category, the JRF cutoff is 194 marks, while the cutoff for Assistant Professor is 170 marks and for PhD Only is 152 marks.
The EWS category has a JRF cutoff of 200 marks. The cutoff for Assistant Professor is 168 marks, while candidates in the PhD Only category have a cutoff of 146 marks.
For SC candidates, the cutoff stands at 186 marks for JRF, 160 marks for Assistant Professor, and 144 marks for PhD Only.
For ST candidates, the required cutoff is 188 marks for JRF, 156 marks for Assistant Professor, and 140 marks for PhD Only.
Highest Cutoff in Forensic Science
Among the categories shown in the released cutoff, the highest cutoff is 206 marks for JRF in the Unreserved category.
The UR category also records the highest cutoff for both other qualification levels, with 182 marks for Assistant Professor and 164 marks for PhD Only.
The comparatively lower cutoff for the PhD Only category is consistent across all the listed categories.
What Does This Mean for Forensic Science Aspirants?
The cutoff marks indicate the marks corresponding to the different UGC NET qualification categories. Candidates should therefore check the cutoff applicable to their category and desired qualification level.
For example, a candidate from the UR category aiming for JRF needs to look at the 206-mark cutoff, whereas an SC candidate aiming for JRF needs to refer to the 186-mark cutoff.
